Paige & Chris – San Diego County Fair

Paige and Chris met up for a fun and colorful engagement-style session at the San Diego County Fair last year! I love everything about this session–the style, the color, the love between them.. it is just perfect. :) This session was one of the portrait swaps I participated in with a handful of other military wife photographers in San Diego, featuring the beautiful Paige of Paige Prior Photography, and her stud muffin of a husband, Chris.

Paige is a genuine sweetheart and it was SO fun to get her and her husband dressed up in vintage attire for this photo session inspired by The Notebook. I (still!) haven’t seen the movie, though I did read the book a few years back, so Angie and Paige took the reins on the styling! They did a swell job!

Richard & Paul – UCSD Engagement

Richard and Paul spent a lot of time around the campus of UCSD while they were dating, so it was only fitting that we capture their engagement session there. Paul thought the gorgeous Stuart Collection statues would be a fun backdrop, and he was so right. We visited Richard Fleischner’s La Jolla Project, William Wegman’s La Jolla Vista View, and the surrounding areas one afternoon, celebrating their love and upcoming wedding!

Amanda & Dom – La Jolla Proposal

He popped the question and she said yes!!

Congratulations to Amanda and Dom on your engagement tonight! I’m so honored that I was able to capture your proposal in La Jolla with the help of the fabulous Grace of La Reine des Macarons! Grace did a superb job of finding the perfect spot for Dom, and of setting the scene with her delicious macarons! Amanda had apparently been talking about macaroons for weeks, and Dom thought it would be the perfect ending to a dinner at George’s at the Cove. Dom’s cousin, Bill, was in on the whole scheme and helped Grace along the way.

Congratulations again, Amanda and Dom!

Christine & Nick – Balboa Park Engagement Session

Congratulations to Christine and Nick on their engagement, and on their wedding today! We met up a few weeks ago, after being rained out on our first try, to photograph their engagement session at Balboa Park in San Diego. Meagan & Steve – Oceanside Pier Engagement

I was so excited to receive an email from Meagan, letting me know that she was going to be out in San Diego to see her fiance! We had tried to meet up when she was visiting from Virginia before, but the timing didn’t work out. She and Steve will be getting married later this year on the East coast, and were interested in getting some good California engagement photos before they tie the knot! Here are some of my favorites from their session on the beach!
