The Ross family was back in action this fall, and this time we explored the San Diego Botanic Garden during our session. This family is super sweet and I just adore them!

I just wanted to throw out a super quick thank you to the fabulous Doug Gordon of Patken Photographer and the entire team up at creativeLIVE in Seattle. I was SO excited to be chosen to participate in Doug’s photography project workshop based on my crazy video, and my head is still spinning from all of the amazing information! I’ll probably write more later but wanted to share this fun photo of us on our last day!
I’ve known Pat for a little less than 10 years. We met when we were both on the staff for the National Teen Leadership Program‘s summer camp here in Southern California. After several years, I was lucky enough to meet his girlfriend, Xenia, who then started volunteering with NTLP too! These two are both total peaches and I was so excited when Pat (finally!) shared the good news that they were getting married!
Xenia and Pat were in San Diego one weekend to visit friends, so we planned this engagement session as they headed back up to Orange County. We met up in San Diego at the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park for a short session and then waited until the sunset to meet up at Oceanside Pier and Beach for gorgeous beach photos!

I was so excited to meet the W family and their newest addition! This sweet baby boy was born just 2 weeks prior to our family session, and slept through practically the whole thing! Big sister S was a total sweetheart and loved giving high 5’s in exchange for a smile! Photographing this adorable family was an absolute blast!

Jenifer and Nick were the sweetest couple. I met Jennifer through a Marine Wives’ Club here at Camp Pendleton, but had never had a chance to meet Nick until the day we held this maternity portrait session. You could seriously see and feel the love between the two, and they could not stop smiling at each other during the time we spent together.
I am so happy for the two of them to meet their precious baby boy in the coming weeks!
