Samantha & Chris – Family Session at the San Diego Convention Center

Samantha, Chris, and their adorable daughter Z met up for a fun family session at the San Diego Convention Center one early morning a couple weekends ago, in preparation of Samantha and Chris’ upcoming vow renewal! Film Fridays – Jordan & Ben

Last weekend’s fun session with these two ended in an incredible sunset that you may have seen if you follow me on Instagram or on Facebook! Jordan and Ben were awesome in front of the camera, and I’m so excited to share these images that were captured on Portra 400 film. These were all photographed at 1/125s and f/2.8. Welcome Home, Will!

Celeste got her husband back from a 6-month deployment last week, and you can see her excitement in her beautiful smile! These two lovebirds met in high school and have been inseparable. Will was deployed with 2/5 on the 31st MEU, and returned to the same parade deck where my husband returned from his 2011 deployment! It was great to be back in the area for another happy reunion!

Welcome Home, Bobby!!

Here’s yet another homecoming, featuring the sweetest little lady meeting her daddy for the first time! Robby and Travis were on the same ship, but Travis was dropped off at Camp Pendleton the day before the USS New Orleans docked at Naval Base San Diego, when Robby was able to disembark.

Bobby and Haily had plenty of family present to witness these amazing moments, and it was an honor to be there and capture it for them. Since Haily had given birth to McKayla while Bobby was gone, Bobby was set to be one of the first off the ship. Though it seemed like he wasn’t going to walk down those stairs soon enough, he finally made it down, and the family was united!

Welcome Home, Travis!

Capturing this homecoming was an absolute dream! Alicia contacted me last September regarding capturing this homecoming, and I knew it was going to be special when I found out that Alicia was pregnant and would be delivering the baby before Travis’ return! Plus, Alicia is from Texas and was staying with her family in Ft Worth while Travis was deployed, only a short distance from my grandmother’s house!

Little Finn was born about 2 months ago, and was so excited to meet his daddy last week! He is a total sweetheart and has the best smile!

Though the morning seemed like it would never end, soon enough, we were able to spot the LAVs coming over the hills to Camp Las Flores, and the Marines were home! Here are some favorites from the day.

Congratulations to Alicia and Finn on making it through this 8-month deployment! Welcome home, Travis, 1st LAR, and all of the Marines and Sailors aboard the USS New Orleans and all ships with the 13th MEU! Thank you for allowing me to capture these moments for you!
