Mark & Courtney – San Antonio Engagement Session

Mark and Courtney got engaged a few months ago, and I was excited to take some engagement photos while I was in Texas over Thanksgiving! We were outside of San Antonio, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, for a distillery tour and whiskey tasting at Garrison Brothers, and then for some wine across the street at William Chris.

Born in the same hospital just a few days apart, Mark and Courtney are both Texas Aggies (whoop!) who didn’t meet until they were back in San Antonio after college, though they had been at A&M at the same time. Mark had proposed at another nearby winery, Becker Vineyards, so it made sense to meet up at a distillery and winery for these images!

Welcome Home, Ranae!

This homecoming was a little different than the usual Camp Pendleton ones, since Ranae is in the Army and is actually a reservist! She was activated for this deployment on rather short notice, leaving her wife, Jacquie, to hold down the fort while she was gone. ;) After having been gone for 251 days, Ranae was finally back in Jacquie’s arms, just in time for Christmas!

Welcome Home, Stephen!

Emily and Stephen met in Florida, though Stephen is stationed out here in San Diego. They had been dating for a while before Stephen left on a deployment. While he was gone, Emily naturally stayed in Florida, but made a trip out here for his homecoming last week! Stephen’s brother and sister-in-law live here as well, so they and their son were able to witness the homecoming. Isn’t Stephen’s nephew just the cutest?!

Welcome Home, Travis!

This homecoming was supposed to happen a couple of months ago, but the Marine Corps had other ideas. When the buses finally pulled up, mom Jill and little A were waiving their glow sticks as hard as they could so dad Travis would be able to find them. Travis ended up sneaking up behind all of us, and you can see the surprise and joy in Jill’s face all at the same time! Welcome home, Travis!!
