I went swimming with my camera again last night!
To those who say there is no winter in San Diego: try going swimming in February!
Getting in the pool took some convincing from my friends and fellow photographers present, Grace-Marie Brunken and Robby Ticknor. Our fabulous model, Paige Prior, is more fearless than I am and didn’t hesitate to cannonball into the deep end! We tried a few passes in the pool, started noticing that our speech was slurring a little since it was so cold, and decided to jump in the spa instead. The 98-degree water felt like it was burning our skin for a few minutes before we got used to it, and then we spent the rest of the afternoon photographing in there instead! I got some fun images in the spa, but I’ll share those later!

We decided we’ll wait a little longer before trying underwater portrait photography again!
